Immanuel Lutheran Church 1209 Scheuber N Centralia, WA 98531
Our Mission: Our mission is simple; to reach people with the Good News of the entire Bible and then live by example according to its principles of Grace and Peace. Our Heart: Our heart is to provide a Sabbath Fellowship that is open to all people, regardless of their situation, that will encourage, assist and guide. Our Worship Service: Our Worship Service yields a unique blend of love for our Lord, through the liturgy - a combining of Hebrew and English, and through our music which is a combination of Israeli and Western Contemporary songs. At times, Davidic Dance is integrated into the Service, as an expression, through movements, a unified and focused worship that is directed to Adonai (God) as the King of the Universe.
Do you have to be Jewish to attend? Not at all! In fact most of the attendees are not Jewish, as is the case with most Northwest Messianic Congregations.
Do you have a children's program? Not at this time. In fact, we actually like have children in the Worship Service and all other congregation activities.
Is there a dress code? No more than in any other church. We do expect people to dress with modesty, but as for other rules, no. You will see some men wearing kippot (skull caps) and tallis (prayer shawls) and women with head scarves; none of which are required, except if one is leading prayer we ask that the head be covered - acknowledging that God is our covering.
Do I need to speak Hebrew? Nope! We actually speak English, albeit sometimes you might hear a Texan accent. Any Hebrew is always translated to English, whether spoken or in music presentation.
How long is your service: The actual Service is about an hour and a half. Although we usually have a coffee hour at 10 am, and a time of lunch and fellowship after the service.
What time is your service and where do you meet? Our service begins at 11 am on Saturday. We meet at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1209 Scheuber Road North - in Centralia, WA. We meet in the small Sanctuary, which is accessed from the South Parking Lot.
